Flatiron Loft Renovation

Now the ultimate sophisticated, fully loaded bachelor pad, this NYC loft renovation was a commercial to residential conversion in the 1970s. Our bachelor client desired a clean, elegant modern loft. To achieve his goals of an open floor plan, the space required a total layout change. An entry foyer was created, and we kept the original maple floors throughout and bleached them to a rich light hue. Meshberg Group’s design resulted in a complete “smart house” with a master suite, two and a half bathrooms, and a state of the art soundproof media room, including all LED WAC lighting.

No details were spared in bringing this project to life. In the all custom kitchen a handpicked quartzite waterfall island holds court amongst custom gray stained rift sawn oak cabinets and top of line appliances. The soundproof media room is a sophisticated, plush man cave boasting a state of the art theater, custom wall panels, cove lighting, niches and even secret hiding places. The star of the master bath is a fully loaded, marble clad smart controlled shower with Hansgrohe Axor RainBrain. A bachelor in the city needs a great closet. We outfitted this one in bleached white rift oak and milled steel flat bar hardware. Throughout the loft, even the door frames and baseboards were carefully considered and designed to be completely flush with half inch reveals to accentuate the clean look of the loft.
